What is UDM?

Every microorganism has a particular sensitivity to UV light at particular UV wavelength in order to achieve a certain log reduction. Taking three theoretical bacterias on the graph on the below, each UV dose level provides different protection level against each bacteria type. For example, If we set the UV dose to 90mJ/cm2 RED. we can expect 3 log reduction of bacteria #1 and #2 and about 2 log reduction for bacteria #3.

Log reduction Vs. UV dose of 3 theoretical bacterias: every microorganism has a particular sensitivity to UV light at particular UV wavelength in order to achieve a certain log reduction.

Almost all of the information available today regarding bacteria inactivation UV dose levels is obsolete and is based on Low-Pressure technology. Through extensive R&D and field-testing, Atlantium Technologies has created a unique UV-Dose-Map (UDM) based on its advanced Medium-Pressure technology. The Atlantium UDM is the most comprehensive and updated UV dose inactivation values for medium pressure lamps and it enables Atlantium to commit to precise, energy-efficient and reliable UV disinfection solution.
