The HOD™ (Hydro-Optic Disinfection) UV OC Series for open channel wastewater treatment, which is already successfully operating in India and Brazil, has now received validation in USA by Carollo Engineers as per the NWRI and IUVA.
This 3rd party certification confirms the system meets tough US benchmarks for pathogen reduction, energy efficiency, and reliable operation in reuse applications.
“Having our open channel system validated by one of the most trusted engineering firms in the water industry is a huge achievement,” said Yariv Abramovich, CEO of Atlantium Technologies. “After a successful, proven record in closed vessels, this milestone not only affirms the efficacy of our solution for wastewater reuse but also reinforces our commitment to providing utilities with environmentally responsible alternatives to chemical disinfection and an efficient alternative to traditional UV solutions in the market. We continue to focus on our core technology and business while expanding our offerings to new markets and applications. We’re especially grateful to the Carollo team for their professionalism, expertise, and thorough approach throughout the validation process.”
The validation process included microbial inactivation trials, hydraulic checks, and operational stress testing, all led by Carollo, a trusted water treatment validation body recognized by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Why It Matters
Atlantium’s HOD UV technology delivers high-efficiency, chemical-free disinfection with no harmful by-products, while ensuring consistent UV dose delivery even when water conditions fluctuate.
Atlantium enables utilities to hit compliance targets without chemical handling risks or harmful by-products and with a much smaller carbon footprint. It makes it possible for municipalities, wastewater treatment plants or industrial effluent facilities to meet sustainability goals while keeping performance at its peak.
